What You'll Need & How to Use Your Practice Materials

Tools Needed:

My favorite size to work with is the .6mm because it grabs and glides through the hair easily without getting caught as much. The .5mm is smaller and great for smaller locs or more advanced/detail oriented work. The .75mm can be good for practicing on the synthetic hair out in front of you but could be too large to use on your own locs and could cause damage unless you have over 6 months of roots/new growth)

-Crochet Hook(s):
Size .75mm (Great for practicing on synthetic hair)
Size .6mm (My preferred choice for most maintenance)
Size .5mm (Great for detailed/advanced work)

-Synthetic hair (Straight or "Marley" Hair is my recommendation)

-Comb

-Optional: Wooden dowel or coat hanger for shaping dreadlocks
